Have you noticed a change in the quality of light?
Have you noticed that the days are getting shorter and the darkness is falling upon us more quickly. I’m getting nostalgic for back to school- I don’t even have kids at home…what’s with that?
I think it is the magical quality of potential in a new box of pencils & blank sheets of paper in a new sketchbook. I love the smell of new supplies and fresh floor wax are the things that really put me in that back to school frame of mind.
Did you see that Pumpkin Spice is all the rage again this year? Even that big coffee chain has released their Pumpkin Spice Coffee drinks already and it’s not even September!
To honor my most nostalgic memories of back to school I have published a sweet Back To School still life drawing lesson on my YouTube channel.
This is a quick and easy drawing lesson that breaks everything down into super simple steps. You end up with a drawing that you never believed you could do! Let me know in the comments if you like the format of the video and what you would like help learning to draw.
As a special treat for my Patrons on Patreon I have the drawing already for you to download. If you aren’t a patron yet and want access to all my past patron rewards join us over on Patreon – your support of my studio is greatly appreciated!
Patrons – your free coloring page is on the Patron Rewards webpage. Remember you need your password to access it. Check the Patreon post on Patreon to get the password.
I also have a great list of my favorite Art things that you can get for yourself or someone else who wants to grab a bit of that back to school magic on my Amazon Affiliate shop.
I have a whole series my Deliberately Creative coloring books, journals and log books
that I have created on Amazon too. If you are someone who’s like to color in adult coloring books or wants to try out drawing some of my designs for personal use you should really check out my books!
(I do make a small commission when you click the link and make any purchase on Amazon- it never changes what you pay and it helps support my studio.)
