Sweet Dreaming of Summer

I’m Dreaming of Summer and bubbles floating through the air in a lovely meadow. Here’s a daisy almost ready for the bubble to land. There are lovely reflections of the flower colors in the bubble in such a fun way. The color that won the poll was White and Magenta was close behind.

In Part Two this daisy ended up being white with a hint of the magenta with a lovely bright and sunny yellow center. I hope this brings you smiles and joy as you create a bit of Summer in the middle of winter. Using Fluid acrylic paints and craft sticks to lay in the flower, stem and leaves you can end up with a fun and easy painting. Enjoy and create!

Paints and Pigments:
Pearl Ex Pigment Powder Blue Red and a Green Blue
Liquitex Pouring Medium
Deco Art Primary Yellow
Deco Art Metallics Glorious Gold
Fine Tip squeeze bottle
Martha Stewart Satin Acrylic Curry Green- local craft store is the best pricing option

Pouring Recipe:
4 parts Pouring Medium to 1 part acrylic paint. 20 grams pouring medium and 5 grams paint)

There’s no silicon oil or torching in my projects as I really worry about the possible side effects of heating the acrylic paints and the materials they are made from. I’m also concerned with the possible issues down the line with the paint not forming a good bond with the surface because of the oils preventing proper adhesion.

We all have to weigh the pros and cons of how we interact with our art supplies. Experimenting can be exciting and beautiful, but there can be consequences we don’t know about yet. As with any thing in life be informed by reputable sources and your own common sense. 🙂
