Pouring Neon Abstract Flowers with a Sink Strainer?

I see amazing neon abstract flowers being poured through this sink strainer, but what do you see??
Leave me a comment below with the cool things you see in this painting.

Poured Neon Acrylic Paints through a Sink Drain Strainer.

I love how the flowers were looking before they spread and drifted but I think I love the finished painting even more. It changed from rainbow roses to a galactic space sunflower, at least that’s what I see right now. 🙂

I poured on an 8×8 canvas panel board and even though it warped a bit I was able to flex it back and have a flat panel again. 🙂

Pouring Neon Abstract Flowers

Recipe: 4 parts Liquitex Pouring Medium and 1 Part Craft Paint. For example- 20 grams of Pouring Medium and 5 grams of Craft Acrylic paint.

There’s no silicon oil or torching in my projects as I really worry about the possible side effects of heating the acrylic paints and the materials they are made from. I’m also concerned with the possible issues down the line with the paint not forming a good bond with the surface because of the oils preventing proper adhesion.

We all have to weigh the pros and cons of how we interact with our art supplies. Experimenting can be exciting and beautiful, but there can be consequences we don’t know about yet. As with any thing in life be informed by reputable sources and your own common sense. 🙂
